Rafal Haratyk is currently the KSW champion, the fighter reminisced about his first professional fight and revealed his earnings.

Rafał Haratyk is a top Polish fighter in the welterweight category. Haratyk at the KSW 100 gala defeated Marcin Wojcik for the second time and thus defended the KSW championship belt in the division up to 93 kilograms. The champion of Europe’s top MMA organization recalled the beginnings of his professional career.

Rafal Haratyk was a guest of Artur Mazur on the Klatka po Klatka program. During the long conversation, Haratyk commented, among other things, on what the transition from amateur to professional MMA competition was like.

Rafal Haratyk has revealed the earnings for his first professional MMA fight, which took place on May 30, 2010 at the Ring XF 2 gala in Lodz, Poland. Haratyk faced Mateusz Pogudz in his professional MMA debut. It turns out that he was offered a mere 500 zlotys to participate in the gala at the beginning!

– For my first fight at Ring XF I got 500 plus 500, but the negotiations started at zero plus 500, so the negotiations went well anyway. I was happy at the time anyway, that any money was there, because when you went to amateur competitions, you got possibly a cup, a medal or a punching bag, some nutrients.

– Also that thousand zlotys was worth more then than now. I was happy. I didn’t think at the time with such categories that someday it would be possible to earn more money from it.
