Reinier de Ridder former ONE champion signed with UFC

Reinier de Ridder has signed a contract with the UFC organization. The Dutchman is a former ONE middleweight and welterweight champion.

Reinier de Ridder, 34, has inked a deal with the world’s top MMA league. The UFC organization captured a great fighter who remained a free agent after fulfilling his contract with ONE Championship. “The Dutch Knight” was a two-time ONE champion however lost both belts losing two fights in a row to Anatoly Malykhin.

De Ridder’s situation is extremely interesting, as in late July he fought a bout for the UAE Warriors organization where he knocked out Magomedmurad Khasaev in the first round. It seemed that the submission specialist would continue his career in the Middle East, however, unexpectedly, the UFC Roster Tracker ‘s twitter profile reported that de Ridder had signed a contract with the UFC.

Reinier de Ridder has a record of wins over fighters such as Gilberto Galvao, Leandro Ataides, Aung La N Sang, Kiamrian Abbasov and Vitaly Bigdash. The Dutchman also has a grappling draw against Andre Galvao.

In Poland, the fighter from Breda is known thanks to his friendship and joint training with Arkadiusz Wrzosek. The fighters have helped each other many times during their preparations, and it’s possible that Arek will join Reinier to help him during the camp before his UFC debut.
