The first gala of the UFC organization broadcast by the Paramount+ streaming service is fast approaching. There was barely a week left until the event, when the news of the cancellation of one key fight unexpectedly cooled. Kayla Harrison suffered a serious injury, had to urgently undergo surgery and thus her clash with Amanda Nunes was postponed.

Renato Moicano believes that after the cancellation of the Harrison vs Nunes fight, the UFC organization should think about a solution to encourage fans to watch the event, as the current UFC 324 fight card looks weak. Money talked about this on his podcast.

– It’s not even about the mere cancellation of the Kayla vs. Amanda fight, that guy Pimblett shouldn’t even be fighting for the belt, but mostly it’s about the fact that Paramount+ paid the UFC, as much as $7.7 billion, and these juxtapositions at UFC 324 are unable to attract new fans and impress.

Renato Moicano pointed out that experts and financial specialists criticized Paramount+ and called the outspoken operation’s acquisition of the rights to broadcast UFC events as overpaid. The Brazilian suggested that the UFC organization should ask Alex Pereira to save the UFC 324 schedule and draw fans in front of their TV sets.

– Many people have criticized Paramount+ for buying the broadcast rights to UFC galas for such a huge sum. Dana is under great pressure, and now the championship fight has fallen out. What is so spectacular about this card? Justin Gaethje… But I don’t know if his fight alone is enough? Who are they going to call for to save this schedule? Only one guy comes to mind. This guy, for whom saving galas is not the first time, and now he would do it again only that in the heavyweight division. He would take the fight on a week’s notice and win the belt, accomplish something no one has ever done before.

It seems that Moicano’s idea will unfortunately not be put to use, as the UFC organization announced that the new co-main event of the gala was the O’Malley vs Song fight, a bout that was originally scheduled to take place in the middle of the main card.
