Robert Ruchała defeated Kacper Formela after excellent elbows on the ground at the KSW 100 gala in Gliwice.
Robert Ruchała and Kacper Formela faced each other in a bout for the KSW interim belt in the featherweight category. The fight took place at the KSW 100 gala in Gliwice. The fighter from Nowy Sacz defended the trophy in a clash with a representative of the Mighty Bulls.
The fight between the two talented featherweights was contracted for five rounds. Formela, who has been fighting professionally since 2015, definitely has more experience. KSW fans, however, are definitely more familiar with Ruchała, who already has eight fights in the KSW round cage to his credit. The skirmish at the top of the Polish featherweight category promised to be excellent.
Robert Ruchala moved forward with punches, but missed and tried to enter the clinch. Formela defended himself well and the fighters returned to the center of the mat. Robert Ruchała attacked with a spinning backfist, however, it did not impress Kacper Formela. The Mighty Bulls fighter tries to bite with short punches and sticks. Ruchala hits with a straight. Good lowkick by Formela, however Ruchała counters with an accurate left. Robert Ruchala hits twice with high kicks. Kacper Formela stopped these attacks, however, he accepts more punches from his rival. Juicy lowkick of Ruchała. Good series of accurate punches by Formela. Nice straight punches of Ruchala, to which Formela responds with extensive punches. At the end of the round Robert Ruchala brought out a nice and accurate spinning wheel on the body of the rival.
Kacper Formela went on the attack bringing out a solid combination. A bit of Thai clinching and dirty boxing. Robert Ruchała presses the challenger to the net and brings out strong punches with knees. Robert Ruchała hits with a spinning backfist. Kacper Formela slipped which the interim champion immediately wanted to take advantage of. Ruchala moved forward and hits. Robert is faster however Kacper hits with strong lefts.
A couple of very good punches by Kacper Formela to open the third round. A moment of downtime and a kick for a kick. Ruchala made an attempt at an equilibristic action. Formela wanted to take advantage of this and go behind his rival’s back. Nothing came of it and now it’s the interim champion who can work from the top on the first floor. Very nice elbow attacks from the top. End of the fight Robert Ruchała showered Kacper Formela with powerful elbows on the ground. The referee stops the fight.
Done and dusted! Ruchała was the better striker and the better grappler at XTB #KSW100.
