Robert Ruchała assessed William Gomis, whom he will face at the UFC gala in Paris. The talented Pole pointed out the strengths and weaknesses of his opponent.

Robert Ruchala will make his debut in the UFC organization at a gala in the French capital. The former KSW interim champion in the featherweight division will face the host representative, who already has four wins in the octagon of the world’s best MMA league.

Robert Ruchała, in an interview with Pawel Wyrobek of Polsat Sport, compared William Gomis to his past rivals. The fighter making his UFC debut is confident.

– He is certainly weaker in ground and wrestling. He’s a strong fighter – he has a good clinch, and he’s not bad in the stand-up. But I think I’ve made progress in stand-up. At American Top Team they think I’m a standup fighter. I’m training it a lot now and I won’t avoid it. Gomis is a really good fighter.

Robert Ruchala mentioned his former rivals from the KSW round cage and stressed that none of them presented a low level.

– However, I believe that in KSW I did not have any weak opponent. I fought Michele Baiano, Damian Stasiak, Lom-Ali Eskiyev, Salahdin Parnass, Patryk Kaczmarczyk, Kacper Formela. I had very difficult opponents, who did not differ in level from the fighters who fought William Gomis. I enter the UFC confident in my skills. I believe I’m capable of showing a lot there, and that’s what I’m focused on.
