Robert Ruchala vs William Gomis at UFC gala in Paris

Robert Ruchala and William Gomis will face each other at the UFC gala in Paris. The Pole will make his debut in the best MMA league in the world with a fight against the French representative.

Marcel Dorff of Dutch Eurosport was the first to report that Robert Ruchala and William Gomis will fight a duel in the octagon at the UFC gala in Paris. The fight between the featherweight contenders will take place on September 6 in the French capital.

Robert Ruchała fought his last fight in November 2024 when he knocked out Kacper Formela at KSW 100 and defended his KSW interim belt. Not long after that bout, the fighter from Nowy Sacz began to talk loudly about his desire to move overseas.

Managerial custody of Robert’s career was taken over by Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and on June 19 it was officially announced that Ruchała had become a UFC fighter. Fans therefore did not have to wait long to learn the name of the talented Pole’s opponent.

William Gomis fought mainly at regional galas in France, however, he made his UFC debut in September 2022. Since then, Jaguar has recorded five starts, four of which he won.

Coming from a stand-up background, Gomis fought balanced bouts and scored just one win before time. The representative of the MMA Factory team four times took part in clashes ending in majority or non-unanimous decisions.

Robert Ruchala spent the last few months at American Top Team, where he had the opportunity to assist Dustin Poirier in his preparations for his fight with Max Holloway. Training in the U.S. undoubtedly allowed the Pole to develop quietly and gain experience, now it will be necessary to translate this into a viable skirmish with Gomis.
