Robert Whittaker allowed himself to make an ominous announcement, according to former UFC champion Carlos Ulberg, which could end Jan Blachowicz’s career.
On Saturday, March 22, Jan Blachowicz and Carlos Ulberg will face off in the second fight of the evening at the UFC gala in London. More and more top fighters and experts are speaking out about this matchup. This is not surprising, as the duel between the Pole and the New Zealander will have a major impact on the balance of power in the welterweight division.
Robert Whittaker commented on the Blachowicz vs Ulberg fight on the MMArcade Podcast. The former UFC champion believes that the Pole’s break from competing was too long. Reaper also drew attention to Janek’s age.
– I’ll put it this way, if we get John of the best years, Ulberg is in for a long, long, hard evening. A big test and a very tough fight… But I don’t think so. He hasn’t fought in a year and a half, he’s already 42 years old. So we won’t get Jan of his best years.
Robert Whittaker clearly suggested that although the clash itself promises to be interesting he is betting on Carlos Ulberg in this fight. The former champion even allowed himself an ominous prediction and stated that Ulberg will end Jan Blachowicz’s career.
– He has a head as hard as a rock, and as I say, it’s an interesting clash. I think Ulberg can do it. I got to know him and I would like him to win. He’s a cool guy.
– To be honest, I think Ulberg has enough skills to lead this duel sharply, ending his career.
