Roberto Soldić will finally return to the cage and fight a ONE welterweight tournament finalist. Soldić will face Saygid Arslanaliev on February 20 at ONE 171 in Qatar.

Roberto Soldić former KSW double champion will finally return to professional competition. Fans of the Croatian’s explosive talent have had to wait a very long time for news of his next fight. As a reminder, Soldić fought his last fight in May 2023 and has not fought once since.

This means that Roberto has already been inactive for more than a year and a half. Fortunately, this period will soon end as Robocop will enter the cage on February 20, 2025 at the ONE 171 gala in Qatar. Roberto Soldic will face Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev, a Dagestan-born finalist in the ONE tournament in the up to 77 kilogram category.

Arslanaliev is a true veteran of the ONE organization who has fought eleven fights in it, ten of them under MMA rules and one in grappling. As for MMA fights Saygid won eight of them, however it is worth noting that one of the defeats came after he was disqualified by delivering an illegal kick.

The popular Dagi has wins on his record over fighters such as Timofey Nastyukhin, Tetsuya Yamada and Amir Khan. These are hardly names that should impress Soldiciu especially when you consider who Roberto has been training with in recent times.

The former KSW champion honed his skills by training with Rakic and the great professional boxer Agron Smakici. It probably also goes without saying that Soldic has been pairing with Colby Covington in recent weeks.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that Arslanaliev’s break from MMA competition is even longer than that of Soldić. Saygid fought professionally in MMA for the last time in December 2021. It seems, therefore, that the ONE organization has a clear plan to continue working with the winner of the Soldić vs Arslanaliev fight and to part ways with the loser.
