

Sean Brady submitted Leon Edwards in the fourth round of their fight at the UFC gala in London.
Leon Edwards and Sean Brady met in the evening fight of the UFC gala in London. The duel between the former welterweight champion and one of the top contenders was contracted for five rounds. Surprisingly it was the representative of England who was the underdog in the duel.
Leon Edwards was making a comeback after his defeat to Belal Muhammad and has a lot to prove. Rocky, as a former champion, had to win the clash with the American in order to re-enter the fray for the championship title of the up to 77 kilograms division.
Very strong opening of the fight and exchange of blows. A clinch in which both fighters hit with solid knees. Excellent kickboxing combination by Brady, who hit with a kick and then reached Edwards’ head twice with his fists. Brady and the exchange of short punches. Edwards hits the American in the top of the head however the American does not do anything about it. The fighter from Philadelphia presses his rival into the net, attacks with knees, evidently hoping to get a takedown. Leon reverses the situation by hitting a knee, but Sean cuts out the Englishman and successfully overthrows him.
Sean Brady quickly shortens the distance and goes for an overthrow. The American clinches under the net, a beautiful sweep by Sean and he can work on the first floor. Sean hits with punches from behind Edwards’ back. The American works well with his punches and the Englishman has trouble escaping the difficult position. Brady hits an elbow to Leon’s ear area. Sean Brady makes an attempt to take out his rival’s arm and pin the kimura. Edwards gets out of trouble however Brady immediately gets behind the Englishman’s back. An exchange of powerful blows. Brady immediately dives into the legs of Edwards, however, the latter successfully defends himself. However, the Englishman makes a mistake, which causes Sean to throw his rival to the mat. Brady transitions to the dosad, however, Leon made a sweep attempt. The Englishman slightly improved his position, as the American finally got behind Edwards’ back for a moment to enter the half guard. Sean overlaps behind his back and attacks ground and pound. The next round completely dictated by Brady.
