Sean Strickland commented on the upcoming UFC 307 gala evening lineup, and the American spoke negatively about Khalil Rountree.
Sean Strickland is not one of the fighters who bites his tongue. The former UFC middleweight champion always says what he thinks, and sometimes you get the impression that he speaks first and thinks later.
Strickland had an opportunity in the past to face Alex Pereira in the octagon. Sean lost the duel with a thud falling to the boards in the first round. The American also paired with Khalil Rountree.
Now in an interview with The Schmo Strickland strongly commented on the juxtaposition. Sean believes that the clear favorite to fight for the welterweight belt is Alex Pereira. Strickland doesn’t have the best opinion of Khalil Rountree.
– I can’t imagine that Khalil will beat Alex. I saw his fight with Anthony Smith. Nevertheless, I still don’t think he will be able to do it. In my opinion, Rountree doesn’t have the tools to help him work out Pereira. Khalil won’t knock Alex out, won’t deliver more accurate punches and won’t be better wrestling than Poatan. I think it will be an easy job for Alex.
