Sebastian Przybysz got a new opponent a day before the gala at KSW 107. Oleksii Polishchuk did not make weight and Marcello Morelli jumped into the championship fight.
Unexpected news comes to us from the Tri-City. The contender for the championship belt of the bantamweight category was not able to fill the limit. Oleksii Polishchuk exceeded the contracted limit and the KSW federation had to make changes to the KSW 107 fight card.
Sebastian Przybysz will face a new opponent, who will be Marcello Morelli. Making his KSW debut, the Venezuelan was scheduled to fight Islam Djabrailov, who, like the Ukrainian, was also unable to make weight.
Wojslaw Rysiewski KSW’s sporting director had no choice but to save two fights, and in order to save two fights he decided that Sebastian Przybysz will defend his championship belt in a fight against Marcello Morelli. The second bout will be a skirmish between Polishchuk and Djabrailov, but no longer in the limit to 62 kilograms, but in the featherweight category.
It’s good that they managed to keep the number of fights on the schedule, however, this is undoubtedly not positive news for fans who are going to Ergo Arena or intend to watch KSW in front of the TV. Let’s keep in mind, however, that in the fight of the evening will face Phil De Fries and Arkadiusz Wrzosek, this media clash for the heavyweight division belt has fortunately not changed at all.
