Sebastian Rajewski will replace his brother Lukasz on the schedule of Babylon MMA 47 gala. The former KSW belt contender will face Mateusz Makarowski.
The Babylon MMA organization has announced changes to the schedule for the Babylon MMA 47 gala, which will take place on Saturday, September 28 at the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Former Babilon light heavyweight champion Mateusz Makarowski will face former KSW championship belt contender Sebastian Rajewski.
Originally, the 27-year-old “Macaroni” was to face Sebastian’s older brother Lukasz, but after his injury, the younger representative of the Rajewski clan agreed to step in as a replacement. Many fans felt that the juxtaposition still benefited from this.
Although Sebastian has a string of three wins in a row, he has only lost to opponents from KSW’s top division. The younger of the Rajewski brothers first succumbed to Marian Ziolkowski after a decision, then was submitted by Salahdine Parnase, and in his last appearance in the KSW round cage was quickly knocked out by Wilson Varela.
A year ago in Wieliczka, Mateusz Makarowski fought a memorable war for the championship belt against Filip Lamparski, who eventually capitulated in the 4th round. Later the title was taken over by Krzysztof Mendlewski, but “Makaron” can still afford capital fights – especially against an opponent who, like him, prefers stand-up brawling.
The bout Mateusz Makarowski vs Sebastian Rajewski will be the co-main event of the Babylon MMA 47 gala, with Rafal Dudek and Anatoly Hunanyan facing off in the fight of the evening for the Babylon K-1 belt.
