Ian Garry has replaced the injured Belal Muhammad and will be Shavkat Rakhmonov’s new opponent at UFC 310. The fighters will face each other in the second fight of the evening.
Shavkat Rakhmonov was scheduled to face Belal Muhammad in the fight of the evening at UFC 310 in Las Vegas. However, this bout will not take place, as the champion withdrew from the event due to injury and a foot bone infection.
Ian Machado Garry has taken up the gauntlet and will replace the injured champion. Shavkat Rakhmonov has accepted the duel with his new rival. The fight has retained its status as a five-round bout, however, it will not be the clash of the evening.
The fight of the evening at UFC 310 will be Alexandre Pantoja vs Kai Asakura, a battle for the flyweight category title. This may not come as a surprise, as the UFC ‘s top front office officials have announced that they do not want to do an interim title fight.
Both Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Garry are undefeated in professional MMA. The favorite will undoubtedly be the Kazakh, who seems to be the more versatile fighter. It is worth noting that although Machado Garry is taller it is Rakhmonov who has a greater arm reach.
The Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Machado Garry fight will take place on December 7 at UFC 310 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
