Tomasz Adamek responded to the words of the KSW chief. The fighter admitted that he was shocked after learning what Martin Lewandowski said about him.
Tomasz Adamek and Mamed Khalidov faced each other in a boxing bout at a special KSW EPIC gala in early 2024. Adamek then recorded a win after Mamed suffered an injury and was unable to continue the duel.
Martin Lewandowski, in a recent interview with Jarek Swiatek, said that he is no longer interested in Tomasz Adamek’s services. The KSW boss went back to the level that “Góral” presented during the KSW Epic gala. Lewandowski also stressed that he and sporting director Wojslaw Rysiewski have more interesting options than Adamek for Mamed Khalidov‘s rival at KSW 100.
– I somehow am moderately interested in Adamek. For me Mamed was winning and probably would have won if not for the injury. Adamek looked weak, the other two (Adamek fights) I did not watch, they did not interest me. A bit of unnecessary topics started to tangle around him. I’m annoyed by this constant talk about the box office. For Mamed for now I have one idea, Wojek two and all three are awesome, much better than Adamek.
It has been known for several days that Mamed Khalidov will face Adrian Bartosinski at the anniversary gala. Thus, it seemed that the topic of Adamek in KSW would fall silent. Unexpectedly, however, in an interview with Karol Garncarz, the former world boxing champion responded to the words of the KSW boss.
– They made a gala, they also made money. And why does he do it? He doesn’t do it for an idea. I don’t fight for the idea either. Everyone knows that this is my job and I do everything to earn as much as possible. I get in the ring to make as much money as possible. Simple. I fulfilled my contract, waited for the “hoopla” and all that, and something didn’t sit well with Martin. He didn’t call me, he just said something in an interview. I was shocked.
