Sofiia Bagishvili new opponent of Ewelina Wozniak at KSW 104

Sofiia Bagishvili will replace the injured Marina Monteiro and will be Ewelina Wozniak’s new opponent at KSW 104.

In the women’s clash of the XTB KSW 104 gala in Gorzow Wielkopolski, the impressive fighter Ewelina Wozniak (8-3) will face Sofiia Bagishvili (10-7), who often ends her fights before time. The fight in the strawweight category will be decided on March 8 at the Arena Gorzow gala. Marina Monteiro, who was originally scheduled to be the Pole’s opponent, had to withdraw from the bout. This is the second change of opponent for Wozniacki before the XTB KSW 104 gala.

Ewelina Wozniak entered the KSW organization with a bump. In January 2024, she won by submission over Aleksandra Toncheva and earned a bonus for best finish of the evening. In her second bout in the round cage, however, she had to acknowledge the superiority of Maria Silva. The Pole began her adventure in professional MMA in 2018, and today she has eleven professional fights to her credit, eight of which she won.

She won the strawweight championship belt of the English Contenders organization and is a former contender for the flyweight title of the Ares organization. The popular “Mad Queen” has so far successfully fought not only in MMA, but also in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. Outside Poland, she has competed in England, the Czech Republic and France.

Sofiia Bagishvili has had two fights in KSW. She first entered the round cage being on a wave of five wins in a row and submitted Anita Bekus at KSW 74. In the second bout she had to acknowledge the superiority of Maria Silva. After this duel, the Georgian remained a very active fighter. In a year and a half she fought as many as eight bouts.

She has fought for such organizations as Brave CF, Octagon and UAE Warriors. The last time she competed was last December and she added to her record her seventh victory won by submission. Bagishvili has seventeen professional fights on her record, ten of which she won. As many as eight times she finished her opponents before time, and five times she did it already in the first round.
