Szymon Kolecki commented on the result of the evening’s fight of the last KSW gala and stressed that Arek Wrzosek will not stand a chance against Phil De Fries even in a few years.
Arkadiusz Wrzosek lost to Phil De Fries in the fight of the evening at KSW 107 in Gdansk. The Pole had to acknowledge the superiority of the Englishman, who brought Wrzosek to the first floor and there first attacked with punches and then submitted.
The situation at the top of the KSW heavyweight category therefore remains unchanged. Still no fighter has been found who would be able to not only put up a tough fight, but also take the crown and the world title from De Fries.
Szymon Kolecki in an interview with the FightSport portal commented on the fight between Phil De Fries and Arek Wrzosek.
– Arek Wrzosek did not and will never have a chance against Phil De Fries, unless, of course, the action that Arek Wrzosek can do, i.e. a punch or a kick, comes in, but the percentages for this to happen in a fight with Phil are small. In my opinion, with Phil he is unlikely to have a chance even in a few years. Although Phil is getting older, it may also be harder for him, but for today it is a completely different class. The Englishman is now in the top five fighters in the world heavyweight division.
The fighter from the Wilanów Martial Sports Academy has therefore made things clear. Kołecki strongly appreciates the skills of Phil De Fries and considers him the absolute top of the heavyweight category in the world. By the way, Kolecki pointed out that Arek Wrzosek could only threaten the Englishman by hitting him in the stand-up.
