Szymon Kolecki suggested that the upcoming Marcin Held vs Marian Ziolkowski fight is one of the classics of the decade in Polish MMA.
Marcin Held and Marian Ziolkowski will face each other in one of the most interesting clashes of Saturday’s KSW 112 gala in Szczecin. The duel has been contracted for three rounds at the lightweight division limit. It will be a real clash of two true veterans of the Polish MMA scene, who are still at the top of the KSW rankings in the up to 70 kilogram category.
Szymon Kolecki was an online guest on the Klatka po Klatka program. During a conversation with journalist Artur Mazur, Kolecki commented on the KSW 112 gala, and at one point the Olympian brought up the subject of Held’s skirmish with Ziolkowski.
Szymon Kolecki on Held vs Ziolkowski fight
Szymon Kolecki assessed the chances of both fighters to claim victory in Szczecin. The Wilanów Combat Sports Academy fighter puts Golden Boy as a minimal favorite.
– It seems to me that a little more chances have Marian, because he is more versatile and can surprise with different things. Such as: knees, kicks, elbows, in addition to straight punches in moving. But Marcin can also break with strong action when Marian lowers his hands. 55 to 45 I give to Marian.
Szymon Kolecki hailed the upcoming duel between Poland’s top fighters in the lightweight division.
– I think this is one of the classics of such a good decade in Polish MMA, because they are both very deserving fighters, at an outstanding level. I think this fight has a great chance to reach a verdict, because Marian has an excellent stand-up, but Marcin is not a handicapper either. In the other direction, Marian also has a BJJ black belt.
Marcin Held and Marian Ziolkowski will meet in a fight contracted for three rounds. The winner of the duel will hold on to the top spot in the lightweight category.
