Szymon Kolecki will face the experienced veteran Przemyslaw Mysiala, who is a former champion of the FEN and Pro FC organizations, the duel will take place at Babylon MMA 51.

The mighty “Polish Bear” will be Szymon Kołecki ‘s rival in the fight of the evening at Babilon MMA 51! On March 14, our Olympic gold and silver medalist in weightlifting will perform in front of his own fans in his hometown of Ciechanow, and facing him will be the winner of many championship belts of Polish and international organizations – Przemysław “Polish Bear” Mysiala.

For 43-year-old Szymon Kolecki (11-1), who resumed his career last December after a three-year hiatus, it will be a return to the welterweight category, where he has performed most often in the past and enjoyed his greatest triumphs in MMA. In his last appearance, Szymon carried 101.9 kg on the scales, but now he will have to shed some muscle mass to fit into the 93 kg limit.

The Olympic medalist’s rival will be 42-year-old Przemyslaw Mysiala (24-12-1) – former FEN champion and winner of titles in foreign organizations Contenders (2019), Shock n’ Awe (2011), Pro FC (2011), Extreme Brawl (2009), Ultimate Warrior Challenge (2009) and Angrrr Management (2008).

“The Polish Bear” had serious legal problems recently, but managed to straighten things out in the UK and returned to Poland to continue his MMA career. Mysiala currently trains at the Mighty Bulls Gdynia club under the guidance of Grzegorz Jakubowski.

Przemyslaw Mysiala commented on the juxtaposition and thanked the Babylon MMA organization for its trust.

– I would like to thank the Babylon MMA federation from the bottom of my heart for their trust and for believing in me, giving me a chance to return to what I love most – to the sport, which is my passion and my whole life.

– I would like to briefly address my situation, which has caused quite a stir in the media. Unfortunately, much of what has been said and written is not true. I won’t comment on it for now, but I don’t rule out telling more about it in the future. The most important thing I want to convey is that I have already paid my debt to society and served my time. Today I return to Poland as a free man with new energy and motivation to prove that everyone deserves a second chance.
