Tom Aspinall gave new news on the Jon Jones fight during a conversation with Ariel Helwani. The Manchester-based fighter met with CEO Dana Whit and director Hunter Campbell on Saturday to discuss details of a deal to fight Jon Jones.

– We had a fantastic meeting, which had an amazing flow. Now I understand my position, I know what the company expects and what they are working on. You need to keep a close eye on the situation, because there will be a really big announcement soon.

– Dana White told me that they have some things to work out. I’m waiting and I’m in shape, I’m ready to fight at any time.

Tom Aspinall made his UFC debut in July 2020 and quickly grew into the biggest star of the young generation in the heavyweight category. The Englishman holds an excellent record of 8-1, and it’s worth remembering that he suffered his only defeat after suffering a knee injury early in the fight. Aspinall, by the way, has already managed to make amends for that loss by knocking out Curtis Blaydes in his last appearance.
