Tomasz Romanowski and Alain Van De Merckt will face each other at KSW 112, the fight will take place on November 15 in Szczecin.
The XTB KSW 112 gala in Szczecin will bring a strong middleweight category matchup. Tomasz Romanowski (18-11 1NC), an impressive former contender for the championship belt, will clash with the Belgian who likes to end fights before time, Alain Van De Merckt (9-1). The confrontation will take place on November 15 at the Netto Arena.
Tomasz Romanowski is a former contender for the KSW middleweight belt and has ten fights behind him in the round cage. The last time he fought was in March. He competed for the interim championship belt, but had to recognize the superiority of Piotr Kuberski. The popular “Tommy” is famous for his exciting fighting style. In KSW he has already won five bonuses, three for best knockouts and two for best fights of the evening. Radoslaw Paczuski, Cezary Kęsik, Andrzej Grzebyk, Michal Pietrzak and Aleksandar Rakas have all succumbed to the power of his fist. The fighter from Stargard has eighteen career victories, eight scored in the first round and seven won by knockout.
Alain Van De Merckt made his professional MMA debut in 2022 and walked like a storm through his subsequent bouts. He fought eight fights and won all of them before time. Four times he knocked out and the same number of times he submitted his rivals. Six times he triumphed already in the first round. Last December he made his KSW debut, but had to acknowledge the superiority of Laïd Zerhouni, who broke the Belgian’s great winning streak. In his next bout, Van De Merckt dominated Boris Dzikowski on the ground and won against him by submission. Before entering the round cage, Van De Merckt fought most of his fights in the Netherlands, but also competed in his native Belgium, where he won the middleweight championship belt of the local Levels Fight League organization in 2024.
