Turki Alalshikh and Dana White have signed a deal to create a new boxing organization modeled on the UFC league.
Turki Alalshikh in charge of the excellent boxing events in Riyadh and Dana White president of the UFC organization have decided to join forces to restore fistfighting to its former glory. His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, the TKO Group which owns the UFC, and the Sela Fund have signed a deal that will create a new boxing organization.
Dana White and Turki Alalshikh have jointly commented on the conclusion of a deal in which the Sela Fund, responsible among other things for sponsoring the well-known Newcastle United soccer club that plays in the Premier League, will play an important role.
Dana White began his statement with the words.
– We just signed a new agreement to create a new boxing league together with Turki, who totally loves boxing.
Turki Alalshikh also added a few words from himself about the new agreement.
– I’m very happy today, I’m handing over the boxing flag to the best man who can take care of it. He has a hard job now, but I am confident that he will do his best to give the fans the best fights, create a great league and make boxing better.
Dana White continued by referring to how the new organization will operate. The UFC president was quick to identify the essentials.
– Our model works and provides fans with fights they want to watch. The best will fight the best, and fighters will climb the rankings and become world champions. We will continue to make announcements where you will be able to watch these events, and we will also provide any other details.
TKO Group has conveyed that, as with UFC galas and WWE events, it will be entirely responsible for event production. We will have to wait a while for announcements related to the contracting of fighters, schedules, and arenas where the galas will be held. TKO has said that we will learn more details in the coming months.
