Tyson Fury has announced his return from retirement. As expected by fans, the former king of the heavyweight category of boxing, did not sit at home and announced that he will fight a fight this year.

Tyson Fury fought his last professional bout in December 2024. The experienced Englishman could not come to terms with the judge’s verdict in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, even openly calling it thievery.

Shortly thereafter, the Gypsy King announced his retirement from the sport, but since this was not the first time he had done so, fans did not believe the veteran. As time went on, however, it seemed that Fury had indeed decided to hang up his gloves, as he had not fought a fight in all of 2025.

The new year has barely begun, and Tyson Fury has decided to announce his return. The former world champion of the heavyweight division wrote on his account on IG.

– 2026 is the year of my return. I’ve been out of the sport for a while, but I’m back in the game. I’m 37 years old and I can still hit. There’s nothing better than beating others in the face and making fat money for it.

At this point we do not know the exact date of Fury’s return however, it is expected to be no earlier than the second quarter.
