Tyson Fury recalls depression before rematch with Usyk

Tyson Fury has announced that he will take down Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch bout at the top of the heavyweight category.

Tyson Fury will get a chance for a rematch on Saturday, December 21. At the gala in Riyadh, the Gypsy King will try to return to the throne of the heavyweight category. To once again claim the crown and all titles Fury must defeat Oleksandr Usyk.

In an emotional interview before the rematch, Tyson Fury said that there have been things going on in his life that are definitely more difficult than boxing fights. Fury pointed out that he had a suicide attempt, he also added that he tried to end his boxing career but is unable to do so, he is too drawn to the ring.

– I don’t think boxing was ever my greatest victory for me. I was coming back after a suicide attempt, coming back from the depths of despair. Compared to what I went through making money from boxing fights is just child’s play.

– I tried many times to leave, but to no avail. I really wanted to finish after the fight with Dillian Whyt in 2022. I really wanted it sincerely with all my heart, with my hand on the Bible. However, it was very hard to do it, I don’t know if I will ever know how to quit.

At the very end, Tyson Fury announced that he intends to destroy Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch bout. The Englishman also addressed the other contenders, noting that the Ukrainian would be the first of his victims.
