The weigh-in before the UFC 312 gala took place early this morning. All participants in Saturday’s event had to appear at the weigh-in before the commission and fulfill their contracted weight limits.
Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland will face each other in the evening bout of UFC 312. The duel has been contracted for five rounds, and the UFC middleweight title will be at stake. The current holder of the belt is the South African representative.
Dricus Du Plessis weighed in at 83.9 kg, and his opponent Sean Strickland also weighed 83.9 kg. This means that the fighters filled the middleweight division limit, and the commissioners officially approved the championship-ranked bout.
The HyunSung Park vs Nyamjargal Tumendemberel fight was canceled minutes before the start of weigh-ins. The UFC organization did not give official reasons for the decision.
