The head of the UFC has announced an increase in bonuses for fighters. Dana White delivered a message that will probably please everyone.

The UFC organization made a decision this past week that will have a huge impact on its future. It signed a deal with a new television partner, which is Paramount+. The seven-year contract is for $7.7 billion, more than double the current deal with ESPN.

This will mean from the get-go a larger and, above all, steady flow of cash into the UFC organization’s bank account. Dana White president of the world’s best MMA league was asked yesterday if this means increased spending on fighter salaries.

The UFC chief did not want to speak on the subject of salaries however, he made it clear that there would be a bonus increase.

– I won’t comment on the earnings structure yet, because we have to get together in the office and figure it out. It’s August, we have until January to finalize it all. However, what can I easily answer? Bonuses will definitely be increased. This is going to be huge. Forget about the upward wave for the players, only bonuses will be able to bring them millions of dollars.

We will probably find out more details and how strongly the new TV deal will translate into fighters’ earnings at the end of 2025. It is important to keep in mind that by abandoning ppv, a situation arises in which the champions and biggest stars will not receive a percentage of the number of subscriptions sold.
