Klaudia Syguła fought another bout in the world’s largest MMA organization. At the UFC event in Paris, the Polish fighter faced the host country’s representative, Nora Cornolle.

Syguła once again had the opportunity to showcase her skills in the UFC octagon. The Polish fighter faced a challenging task, especially since she had to compete on her opponent’s home turf in front of a French crowd.

Cornolle, in turn, could count on tremendous support from the stands. The Frenchwoman intended to use her home-field advantage to stop Syguła, who had come to Paris with a clear goal—to secure an extremely valuable victory and take the next step in her UFC journey.

UFC: Syguła vs. Cornolle – Fight Recap

Round 1 – Syguła started off with a flurry of left jabs and followed up with a right straight. Cornolle looked to land combinations of punches, elbows, and kicks to the torso. The Polish fighter looked to take her down. She pinned Cornolle against the fence, attempting a hip throw, but the French fighter countered and took the top position. Cornolle got back to her feet, while Syguła took a long time to return to her feet. She didn’t want to fall for any of her opponent’s moves. Cornolle landed a powerful right hand after returning to her feet. Klaudia attacked, looking for a takedown, but again to no avail. The Frenchwoman was stronger, which made it difficult for Syguła to execute her game plan for this fight. The Polish fighter finally broke free from the clinch against the fence and landed a long right. Cornolle tried to catch Klaudia with a knee in the Thai clinch. Syguła finally took her opponent down and ended up on top. She struck Cornolle in the liver area and pulled her leg free from her opponent’s grip… only to end up back on her feet. Cornolle kept landing knees on the Polish fighter right up until the final seconds.

Round 2 – Cornolle was looking for combinations, but Syguła surprised her with an aggressive advance. Her boxing punches allowed Klaudia to close the distance and clinch, but that was all it amounted to. Nora took control, landing knees and striking with her elbows. The Polish fighter briefly pushed her back against the cage, but managed to land only a strong knee herself. Cornolle frequently landed short elbows. Syguła threw a completely unprepared right overhand, which might have indicated she was in trouble. Klaudia persistently sought the clinch, which did her little good. The French fighter was stronger and, on top of that, constantly made her presence felt in the fight with her knees. Syguła went for a Kimura, but ended up attempting a triangle choke with her hands while standing. The Polish fighter tried to take her opponent down, but essentially abandoned the attempt after taking a single knee to the thigh… After which, incidentally, her opponent knocked her to the mat.

Round 3 – The Polish fighter went on the attack immediately. Cornolle managed to dodge the threat and took Klaudia down onto the octagon floor. Syguła looked to land an elbow strike from the bottom. The French fighter got back to her feet and tried to catch the Polish fighter off guard as she was getting up. Syguła pressed forward, took a backfist, but countered with a great right! Cornolle took the Polish fighter down once again and locked in a triangle with her hands. Klaudia tried to break free… until she managed to roll the Frenchwoman over! With just over 60 seconds left, Syguła went for an Anaconda submission, but Cornolle defended it immediately. Nora locked in a clinch, moved behind her back, and easily secured the victory right up until the final second.

Result: Nora Cornolle won by unanimous decision.
