The UFC organization plans to return to the big country to make the most of the star’s marketing potential. We are, of course, talking about Weila Zhang’s fight in China.
At the UFC 312 gala, Weili Zhang dominated Tatiana Suarez in impressive fashion and thus defended her strawweight championship belt. The Chinese woman once again proved that she is a level above her rivals in the up to 52 kilogram division.
Dana White head of the UFC organization was asked whether the UFC organization is planning a gala in the Middle Kingdom. The answer from the president of the world’s best MMA league positively surprised the assembled journalists.
– I definitely want to come to China. We will do a tour of the whole country. We have a lot of plans for this year related to China. We will be there.
The UFC last checked in to China in late November when it held an event in Macau. Like Hong Kong, however, it is a specific location and fans expect galas in mainland China. Major cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Chengdu would herald a far larger scale event.
Dana White also added that he is open to any suggestions from Weila Zhang and intends to fulfill most of her wishes. As a reminder, the Chinese woman reached the championship for the first time at the UFC gala in Shenzhen where she knocked out Jessica Andrade.
– He is at such a point in his career, with so many achievements to his credit, that whatever he asks, I will most likely agree to it.
