UFC Seattle promised to be phenomenal, unfortunately, the schedule for this gala has gone completely haywire. Edson Barboza has dropped off the card, and the Blaydes vs Kuniev fight is being moved to UFC 313.
When the UFC organization announced the Seattle gala, on paper the schedule looked phenomenal, and fans quickly hailed it as one of the best Fight Nights ever. Unfortunately, reality brutally verified the matchmakers’ plans.
First, Dominick Cruz was injured and dropped out of his fight with Rob Font. This was one of the fights that was expected to attract fans to the stands. A replacement for the former champion has still not been found.
Today it was revealed that the card is in total disarray after Edson Barboza dropped out of the event, we do not know the reason for the withdrawal of the experienced Brazilian. For the time being, it has not been announced who will replace Barboza in the clash with Steve Garcia.
In addition, the Curtis Blaydes vs Rizvan Kuniev skirmish has been moved to the UFC 313 gala, where it will either be on the main card or will be the last fight of the prelims. Perhaps such a move was made to strengthen the numbered gala’s schedule after other juxtapositions penciled in at the UFC office “fell through”.
The women’s fight between Macy Chiasson and Ketlen Vieira has also been canceled. Unfortunately, the fight cards of several upcoming UFC events do not thrill, and further injuries to strong fighters make the matchmakers’ job much more difficult.
