The UFC veteran criticized Sean Strickland, suggesting that the American is not in fights who he claims to be and does not fight knockout clashes.

Sean Strickland lost to Dricus Du Plessis in a rematch fight at the UFC 312 gala in Sydney. Strickland failed to regain his championship belt, and ended the duel with a broken nose. The former champion lost all rounds to the African.

UFC veteran Din Thomas, who currently works as an analyst at the organization’s galas, decided to strongly criticize Sean Strickland. The American referred to his compatriot’s hype announcements, which ultimately came to nothing.

– We have to admit it, that’s how we have to do it right now. Sean Strickland is not the player he claims to be. We want him to be what he says he is. He wants to be like that in his statements, however, in the end he is not like that.

Din Thomas believes that Sean Strickland is distorting reality by promoting clashes with his participation with predictions of a fight to the death. The UFC veteran alluded to the fact that Strickland ignited the senses of fans by suggesting a stand-up war meanwhile he ultimately showed little of what he announced.

– He says he will fight to the death. Well, unfortunately, but nothing like that happened. I’ll say more I got the impression that he didn’t give his all, that he didn’t reach deep into the energy deposits. I am not saying that he is not a good fighter, because he is. However, it must be admitted that he does not fight as he promises.
