The XTB KSW 119 gala produced several significant outcomes for the welterweight division. In Radom, the winners were fighters who had previously been mentioned among Adrian Bartosiński’s potential rivals. It’s no surprise that the topic of the next title contender has once again come to the forefront.

First, Adam Masaev added a valuable victory over Konrad Rusiński to his record. Shortly thereafter, Tymoteusz Łopaczyk made an even stronger case by defeating Andrzej Grzebyk. His victory over the number two-ranked fighter meant that the nickname “Miodożer” began to be mentioned in connection with the championship bout.

KSW has a problem of abundance. Who should get “Bartos”?

Adam Masaev caught the attention of KSW fans right from the start. His dynamic fighting style, spectacular finishes, and media buzz quickly led many fans to compare him to Adrian Bartosiński. Initially, however, his lack of a win in the welterweight division stood in his way.

After the event in Radom, that argument no longer held water. The French fighter recorded his first win since moving up to the 77-kilogram division and proved that he can pose a real threat to any fighter in that weight class.

At the same time, it’s hard to overlook Tymoteusz Łopaczyk’s achievement. His victory over Andrzej Grzebyk is one of the greatest wins of his career and a result that naturally puts him high on the list for a shot at the championship.

Despite this, Wojsław Rysiewski seems to have a favorite. In an interview with Fansportu TV, the KSW sports director made it clear which direction he would like to take.

It’s no secret that I’ll be urging all parties to make him Adrian Bartosiński’s next opponent,” he said of Adam Masaev.

The federation’s matchmaker’s comments caused quite a stir among fans. Masaev’s supporters argue that the undefeated fighter would bring a breath of fresh air and added excitement to the title fight. Łopaczyk’s supporters, on the other hand, emphasize that he currently has the most valuable victory among all the contenders.

Kacper Koziorzębski is also closely watching the whole situation. His name regularly comes up in discussions about the division’s top contenders, but the fighter himself makes no secret of the fact that, due to their joint training sessions and relationship with Bartosiński, he is not currently interested in a championship bout.

One thing is certain—after KSW 119, the welterweight division has become even more intriguing, and the federation’s decision could stir up quite a bit of excitement.
