Will “Heavy Heart” cause a SENSATION at GROMDA 26?! Grabowski: “A lot of people underestimate him”

Mateusz “Don Diego” Kubiszyn is the clear favorite in this championship bout, but could “Heavy Heart” pull off an upset? In an interview with Fansport TV, Mariusz Grabowski highlighted the challenger’s tremendous progress. The head of GROMDY also reminded viewers that in bare-knuckle fights, nothing can be taken for granted.

GROMDA 26: POLISH COLOSSEUM will take place this Friday, September 4. One of the most intriguing matchups will be the bout between Daniel “PIASKA” Piaskowski and Adam “ZIOMEK” Ziomek. The event will conclude with the long-awaited title fight. Mateusz “Don Diego” Kubiszyn, undefeated in Sin City, will face Germany’s Fifen Aram Gbeyim, known to fans as “Heavy Heart.”

Grabowski isn’t ruling out “Heavy Heart.” “GROMDA is unpredictable.”

“Heavy Heart’s” road to the championship bout certainly didn’t get off to a perfect start. The Cameroonian fighter showed tremendous confidence right from his very first appearance. He provoked “LUTA” and had no doubt he could handle the Pole.

Reality turned out to be brutal. “LUTA” quickly caught up with his opponent and knocked him out hard. At the time, it might have seemed that the cocky Cameroonian wouldn’t go very far in the organization.

“Heavy Heart,” however, learned from that painful lesson. He hasn’t lost since that defeat, and with each subsequent event, he’s performed better and better. He made a particularly big splash with his victories over Patryk Chacia and Sebastian “Scarface” Skiermański. Both were expected to stop the Cameroonian, but in the end, it was Gbeyi who left the small ring as the winner.

Now the scale of the challenge will be incomparably greater.

“Don Diego” remains the clear favorite for the main event of GROMDA 26. Mateusz Kubiszyn has never lost a fight in Sin City and has been dispatching one challenger after another for years. What’s more, there are arguments to be made that some of the champion’s earlier opponents possessed better skills than “Heavy Heart.”

Mariusz Grabowski, however, warns against writing off a contender too soon. In an interview with Fansport TV, he highlighted, above all, the unique nature of GROMDY. Bare-knuckle fights—and especially the unlimited fifth round—can lead to outcomes that few would have expected beforehand.

– I don’t think we know everything [about the contender]. First of all, it’s bare-knuckle fighting. GROMDA is unpredictable. GROMDA is the kind of sport where you fight until the very end. You can’t strategize here. Of course, when you have rounds—whether it’s two minutes or five rounds—you can strategize, feign, and go all out. Here, you have to know that if you don’t finish the fight by the fourth round, you’re fighting until the very end. This is when the moment everyone’s been waiting for arrives, and the fighters have to rise to the occasion.

According to Grabowski, “Heavy Heart’s” reputation is still primarily overshadowed by his first loss. The organization’s head, however, recalled the circumstances of that fight and emphasized that the Cameroonian was caught completely off guard by the speedy “LUTA.”

– A lot of people underestimate “Heavy Heart,” partly because of that one unfortunate loss. But let’s be honest… You know how it is when someone comes for the first time, sees the whole GROMDA scene—we talk about it all the time—so you know, at that moment he was thinking, “Just go out there and get the money.” And, let’s not kid ourselves, “LUTA” is a fast fighter. He caught him off guard, and that fight was over quickly.

Subsequent bouts would show that this had been, above all, a costly lesson. “Heavy Heart” gained experience and eliminated one opponent after another, until he finally found himself facing the most important fighter in the entire organization.

– Later, “Heavy Heart” grew stronger with each fight, from one event to the next. Everyone was supposed to beat him—but, unfortunately, they didn’t succeed. Comparing “Heavy Heart” from his first fight to his fifth, he’s a completely different fighter now. He already sees this opportunity. He hopes to seize it, and on the contrary, he’s confident he’ll win this fight against Mateusz. As for us—the fans and the promoters—we’re not on either side.

On Friday, we’ll find out if “Heavy Heart” has truly reached a level where he can challenge GROMDY’s top fighter. One thing is certain—the Cameroonian, whom many may have written off after a brutal knockout at the hands of “LUTY,” will have a chance to end “Don Diego’s” dominance just a few fights later.
