Mariusz Pudzianowski met with Pavol Neruda the owner of Oktagon MMA. Does this mean that Pudzian will leave KSW? The situation is extremely interesting.
Mariusz Pudzianowski fought his last fight in late April at the KSW 105 gala in Gliwice. The popular Pudzian quickly lost to Eddie Hall. After the gala, both KSW bosses and the federation’s sports director heavily criticized the multiple world strongman champion.
Pudzianowski wasn’t happy with the criticism, and it’s known that he had already been hinting at his intention to move away from sporting juxtapositions and was openly considering a move to Poland’s leading freak organization. However, who knows if a third player has not entered the fray, which has a sizable number of fighters from Poland in its ranks.
We are, of course, talking about the Czech-Slovak Oktagon MMA federation, which is thriving and regularly organizes events in football stadiums. Already in June, Oktagon will once again visit the Slavia Prague stadium, and the owners are probably also planning a return to such venues in Germany.
Mariusz Pudzianowski met with the head of Oktagon MMA
Pavol Neruda described his meeting with Mariusz Pudzianowski in these words.
– Mariusz Pudzianowski – a legend. I was a big fan of his when he competed in Strongman. I watched most of the competition on Eurosport back then. Then he switched to MMA and trained in American Top Team with Attila Vegh, fought in KSW and changed Polish MMA forever.
From the Octagon MMA chief’s post, it’s easy to deduce that he is a big fan of Mariusz Pudzianowski and has followed his athletic career back in his Strongman competition days. Pavol Neruda also stressed that Pudzian has forever changed Polish MMA thanks to his fights in the KSW federation.
Mariusz Pudzianowski’s possible move to the Czech-Slovak organization would probably come as a shock not only to the Polish, but even to the European MMA scene. We would like to remind you that Oktagon MMA has Makhmud Muradov in its ranks, who has been given permission to sport fight in FAME against Norman Parke.
So who knows, perhaps Pudzianowski has found a golden mean for himself and would be able to represent not one, but two federations at the same time and, for example, mix Octagon fights with appearances in FAME. We will probably find out more about this in the near future.
