Wilson Varela has declared his desire to fight at the KSW 106 gala in Lyon. The Frenchman challenged the experienced Roman Szymanski.
Wilson Varela scored a successful return to the cage this past weekend. The Cape Verdean-born fighter won the Hexagone MMA lightweight championship belt. The win before time apparently encouraged the Marseille resident to fight again in the KSW federation.
Wilson Varela posted a post on his X profile, where he challenged the experienced Pole. The 29-year-old fighter addressed the KSW federation by tagging its profile. Here is what Varela wrote.
– Hey KSW your Prototype is eager to fight at the KSW 106 gala to be held on May 10 in Lyon. Roman Szymanski would pose a challenge. Who is excited?
Experienced Roman Szymanski has a string of three losses in a row. The Red Dragon and Linke Gold Team fighter was scheduled to fight Maciej Kazieczko at KSW 104 in Gorzow Wielkopolski, but he developed a leg infection that ruled him out of the fight.
The very challenge thrown by Varela is strongly surprising, though at the same time logical. One must take into account that the KSW 106 gala is advertised by the federation as a Cup of Nations and is expected to feature Polish-French juxtapositions.
