Dana White has long announced a big show at the Sphere arena in Las Vegas. The head of the UFC organization has revealed details of the UFC 306 event.
The Noche UFC gala will take place this coming weekend. The event is scheduled at the modern and unique Sphere facility. The gala is expected to be very different from the standard events of the UFC organization. What does Dana White have planned for UFC 306?
The head of the world’s best MMA league revealed the secret during an interview with ESPN’s First Take. Here’s what Dana White said.
– We will organize an amazing entertaining event. During the event, a movie will be shown, which will be divided into chapters. Before each fight, a portion of the movie will be projected on the huge Sphere screen, so everyone will be focused on what is being broadcast, then the fighters will go out to fight. The duel will be the culmination of the show, so to speak.
– When it’s over, we’ll again present an excerpt from the film, and then the next fighters will enter the octagon to fight. We are going to present chapters of the history of combat sports in Mexico, the history of the Mexican people, and their traditions. I call it such a love letter to the country of Mexico.
Dana White stressed that he himself is curious to see what the final outcome of the production, on which the organization has poured huge money, will be. The UFC chief admitted that UFC 306 will differ significantly from what normally happens during UFC galas.
– Usually when a gala is coming up I am able to control everything. What makes this weekend unique is that I myself don’t know what will work well and what will fail. If something doesn’t work on Saturday night it will be too late to fix it. This is a one-off gala. In an ideal world, if everything goes according to our plan then I think we’ll be able to leave these shows at Sphere so that people can come and watch them for the rest of the year.
