Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards were scheduled to fight a rematch at Bellator’s London gala. The fight was eventually moved to the PFL: Battle of the Giants event.

The American PFL organization has announced that a clash for Bellator‘s middleweight championship belt will take place at an event included in the PFL Super Fights series of galas. Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards were scheduled to face each other on September 14 at Bellator’s gala in London. The duel was unexpectedly canceled in the final days before the gala, announcing only that it would take place at a later date.

The fight will finally take place on October 19 at the PFL: Battle of the Giants gala in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This means that the championship rematch will be part of the event, access to which will be sold on PPV.

In the first fight, the undefeated American was victorious, knocking out the Englishman, who has Jamaican roots, in the third round. Both Eblen and Edwards have since fought one bout each.

Johnny Eblen (15-0) defeated Impa Kasanganaya after a unanimous judges’ decision at the PFL vs Bellator gala in February. Fabian Edwards (13-3) defeated Aaron Jeffery after a unanimous judges’ decision at the Bellator gala in Belfast.

The Eblen vs Edwards 2 fight will be the third championship bout on the PFL: Battle of the Giants fight card. In the main event, Francis Ngannou will face Renan Ferreira in a bout for the PFL Super heavyweight belt. In the second of the evening’s fights, Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco will battle for the PFL Super belt in the featherweight division.
