After the announcement of the Khalidov vs Bartosinski fight, the situation of two fighters became complicated. Piotr Kuberski and Andrzej Grzebyk were left without rivals for KSW 100.
Yesterday we learned the names of the participants in the evening fight of the XTB KSW 100 gala. Surprisingly, Mamed Khalidov and Adrian Bartosinski will face each other in the round cage at the anniversary event.
This makes complicated the situation of two fighters who were “promised” championship bouts. We are, of course, talking about Piotr Kuberski, who was supposed to fight for the middleweight category belt, and Andrzej Grzebyk, who is recovering and was supposed to start preparing for a rematch with Adrian Bartosinski.
In an interview with InTheCage.pl, Wojslaw Rysiewski, KSW federation sports director, explained that both Piotr Kuberski and Andrzej Grzebyk will not be left in the lurch.
– We make galas to be interesting for the fans, so that the fighters can earn, develop and support their families at the level they want. And of course, both of them will be offered fights this year, it’s not hard to guess at which gala, and that’s it. They will not be left in the lurch in any way.
Rysiewski admitted that both fighters have already received proposals for new rivals while while Piotr Kuberski accepted the fight, Andrzej Grzebyk has not yet given an answer. However, the KSW sporting director mentioned that “Double Champ” found out about the new opponent later and will get time to think about the offer.
– They will get fights in a big very gala. Probably the biggest one we can do. Piotrek has already confirmed the fight. As for Andrzej, he found out a little later. We will also give him enough time to think about what he wants to do next, we are not pressuring him. None of the fighters will be left in the lurch, they have already been offered fights. And Piotrek has actually already accepted one.
