Fans expected Roberto Soldic to return to the round cage at the KSW 100 gala. Will the former champion fight again in KSW? The Croatian commented on the subject.
Roberto Soldić is a former KSW Federation double champion. “Robocop” was the champion of the welterweight division, and then reached for the middleweight championship belt. He recorded phenomenal results in the KSW round cage, including spectacularly knocking out Dricus Du Plessis, Michal Materla and Mamed Khalidov.
Roberto Soldić commented frankly on the topic. It turns out that it will be extremely difficult to get Roberto to perform at the KSW 100 gala. The Croatian’s contractual situation is complicated.
– I have a contract at ONE, but unfortunately it started badly in the first two fights. The contract binds me to them. Doors to FNC, KSW and the Octagon are open for me, people send me offers, but I have a valid contract. It’s a little more complicated story and the announcement of my fight at ONE will be made soon.
Martin Lewandowski also said his own words on the subject in a recent interview. The head of the KSW federation admitted that he contacted Ivan Dijakovic (Roberto’s manager), and the latter confirmed that indeed the Croatian still has a valid contract with ONE.
– No, such a thesis is too bold. Roberto has a signed and still valid contract with ONE. On the other hand, we recently had the opportunity to talk twice. I only expressed interest that if they were looking for a new home for Roberto, I would certainly be happy to reopen the door for Roberto. In fact, they were never closed. They were slightly closed. It was simply the wind behind him that slammed them shut.
It is therefore safe to conclude that Soldic’s fight at KSW 100 will not happen. Rather, all discussions were about the fighter’s future, i.e. his career after fulfilling his current contract with ONE Championship.
