Jon Jones was the UFC welterweight champion for many years. The current heavyweight division champion has made a decision about the future of his career.

Jon Jones will return to the octagon in November at UFC 309. The American has been on a long hiatus after suffering a pectoral muscle injury and having to undergo complex surgery. Jones used his rehabilitation time to heal old injuries and underwent additional elbow surgery during his rehabilitation.

All this caused “Bones”‘s break to drag on considerably. Fortunately, the heavyweight champion will finally get to defend his title in a clash with Stipe Miocic. This fight was postponed for a year, so both knew very well who they would face.

Will Jon continue after the duel with the former heavyweight champion? In an interview with Clocked N Loaded, the Albuquerque fighter said:

– UFC 309 will be my last appearance in the octagon. It is more than likely.

The 37-year-old protégé of Greg Jackson has therefore decided to end his career after his fight with Miocic. Jon Jones has been reporting less and less frequently in the UFC octagon in recent years, and it was to be expected that he would end his career. Fans, however, hoped that Jon would stay in the game for a year or maybe even two years longer so that he would still have fights with Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira.
